The purpose of the Laboratory Support Services and Operations (LASSO) II contract is to operate and maintain a diverse set of laboratories, developmental shops and test facilities to provide laboratory services for the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in support of multiple customers and projects. This support includes program management; laboratory maintenance and support; operational laboratory services; and professional and technical support for scientific research, engineering, test and evaluation in laboratory environments. As a multi-user Spaceport for launches of manned and un-manned space flights, the contractor will support KSC Center Engineering, Safety, and Operations (CESO) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Programs including, but not limited to, Exploration Ground Systems (EGS), and International Space Station (ISS), Launch Services Program (LSP), Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD), Science Mission Directorate (SMD), and United States Space Force 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS). Due to the nature of the multi-user Spaceport, the contract will be funded by multiple Government Programs and Projects, as well as, other Spaceport users; all referred to as customers in the contract.
The Government’s primary objectives for the Contractor are to provide:
1. Safe, accurate, and reliable support for the multi-user Spaceport.
2. Efficient and effective responsiveness to the concurrent needs of multiple customers.
3. Flexibility to changing programmatic requirements.
